Messerschmitt BF 110 C-7

Here are some images of Dragons 1/32 scale Messerschmitt BF 110 C-7. My only complaints about this model is that the wasp decal was difficult to work with and the tail wheel was weak. I had to reinforce it with a metal rod to keep it from collapsing. Plus there was no color indication for the the interior. the color is either a dark grey or RLM 02. Also as always seems to be a problem with Dragon model instructions some of the model parts do not seem to match up with the numbers indicated on the instruction sheet. But all in all it is indeed a beautiful kit and well worth the build.

Canadair F 86 F Sabre

Here are some images of my model of Kinetics 1/32 scale Canadair F 86 F Sabre with the Canadian Golden Hawks Aerobatic team markings. Currently I believe to be the best 1/32 scale Sabre on the market today although some improvements could be made such extend able leading edge air brakes. Plus what is this problem model kit companies not providing seatbelts! To provide some basic seatbelts just print them on the instruction sheets how difficult is that?!

RB 51

Here are some images of Seminar models 1/32 scale Mustang RB 51 Red Baron speed racer. I believe this kit to be a cheat. The real RB 51 has a completly different canopy. This kit is just a P 51 kit in the RB 51 markings. Still I think it looks okay.

S.L.C. 200 "Maiale"

Here are some images of Italeri's 1/35 scale S.L.C. 200 "Maiale" (The Pig) manned torpedo. In its day it was a real destructive little bastard. They would slowly drive up to a docked enemy ship at night, release and then attach it to the hull, set the timer and then quietly sneak away. Followed by a sunken ship.

U.F.O.

To be young again. Remember this kit? Originally called the Lief Erikson then re released in the mid seventies as the U.F.O. and now happily re released again by A.M.T. as the U.F.O. Yuri Gagarin Originally designed by Matt Jeffries ( the one who designed the T.O.S. Enterprise) for I believe Star trek but it was never used 1/500 scale.

It Figures.

I was never much for building model figures. I really only did them if they were for a diorama or part of something else otherwise I try to avoid them . So without further ado here are some figures (not all human) that I have built. First up we have some sort of Dinosaur from Lindberg models. After that we have some images of the old AMT kit of Mr. Spock, Re released by the way. After that we have an image of a fisherman that I scratch built for a diorama I was planning. Unfotunatly it didn't work out. I couldn't find a manufacturer that made large enough peices of water sheet. Oh well some other time perhaps 1/32 scale. Next we have a couple of images of Minicraft's models of a French Guardsman and a Roman Guardsman 1/16 scale. Finally we have some omages of a WWII Soviet infantry soldiers 1/35 scale Minicraft.

Yee old Revell/Monogram.

Ah the old Monogram and Revell kits from when we were kids. Raised panel lines, decals that had more flash than image, interiors whose details needed a lot to be desired and of course a whole plethora of moving parts. Still if you look you can still find them for sale in many a hobby shop. Despite their general obsolesiance, with a little effort one can build an acceptable display piece. Here are some examples. First up we have images of a Messerschmidt ME 262 B1 (1983) Revell 1/32 scale. Next we have some images of a Curtiss Helldiver (1970) Monogram 1/48 scale. After that we have some images of a Supermarine Spitfire MK 1/2 (1965?) Revell 1/32 scale. Finally we have some images of a DeHavilland Mosquito MK VI (1966) Monogram 1/48 scale.
