McLaren M8A 1968

Here are some more images of Tamiya's 1/18 scale McLaren M8A 1968 against a black background.
I tried something different with this model. Instead of painting the body of this car, all I did was apply a couple of coats of gloss varnish and it turned out great.

  5. Varnishing the body is a good solution, but it's impossible in this case to use putty !
    Anyway, nice realization as usual.
    And Hanny, a V8 is not noisy :) The noise level depends much of the exhaust and on this car, there is no closed cockpit so resonnance level very low.

  6. Yes- If one is to vanish the body, the body part has to be in top shape.
