Superfortress

Here are some images of Monogram's 1/48 scale Boeing B29-A Superfortress. This was the largest aircraft of World War Two and as well was made famous for being the type of aircraft that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima by the Enola Gay and Nagasaki by Bockscar. When this kit was first released in 1977 it came with markings and modifications for both aircraft.Today the kit still comes with the modifications including the Little Boy and Fat Man bombs but markings would have to be bought after market. Until the Rockwell B1-B model kit came along this was the largest 1/48 scale aircraft on the market. This model makes an impressive display piece in any collection and is equipped with a complete interior as well. This kit is still widely available at around $60 Cdn if one wishes to purchase one.

  1. what a beauty replica! is so perfect, each detail in this is like someone has took the original airplane, and make it in this site.
