Here are some images plus a composite of Trumpeter's 1/35 scale Kriegslokomotive BR52. From Wiki "Kriegslokomotiven
were German 'war locomotives', produced in large numbers during the
Second World War, whose construction were tailored to the economic
circumstances of wartime Germany, such as shortages of materials, goods
transportation (in support of military logistics), ease of maintenance
under difficult conditions, resistance to extreme weather, limited life
and rapid, cheap, mass production. In order to meet these requirements,
economic drawbacks such as relatively high fuel consumption had to be
reckoned with".
Cool, I've always been a train fan...
ReplyDeleteThanks! I wish there were more train kits in this scale.
ReplyDeleteWell done, but there are some things should be corrected:
ReplyDelete1st: The eagle was always in the center (when generally fixed)
2nd: Cabin: RBD xxxx (as ex.) 52 256 G56 15
BW xxxxx
3nd: Tender shows only weights eng. and tender, water, coal, last examination (brakes) and so on.
4th: German steam engines till the DB was founded, had always two lamps - front and back
The Trumpeter Model shows "one in a million",with that description I think.
There`s a paper model in 1:25 that shows a unusual description too AND different ID on front and sides. (Modelik 15/03)
Best regards
