Enterprise Refit
Here are some images plus a composite of Polar Lights 1/1000 scale U.S.S. Enterprise NCC- 1701 Refit.
From Wikipedia"
The "refit" Enterprise that appears in the first three Star Trek films was designed by Mike Minor, Joe Jennings, Andrew Probert, Douglas Trumbull, and Harold Michaelson, all based on conceptual sketches done by Jeffries for the never-filmed Star Trek: Phase II TV series. The 8-foot (244 cm) model was re-used as the USS Enterprise-A in the fourth, fifth, and sixth Star Trek movies. Foundation Imaging built a CGI model of the ship for the "Director's Edition" release of Star Trek: The Motion Picture to add footage envisioned but never shot by director Robert Wise.
This is a very comparable smaller cousin to the 1/350 scale Enterprise kit.
This kit is a snap together kit and as William likes to point out over at Model Kit Reviews - I have such disasters to show you! " Like all snap-fit models, they look better if you use cement and clamps".
The Aztec decaling are nothing short of amazing and a work of art onto themselves however the decals are a little on the thick side and a such may require some decal set.
Just as a side note I took the moon photo about 15 years ago using a Celestron CG 11 Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and an old Pentax K 1000 film camera.

That looks really nice and the photo infront of the "moon" is amazing looking!
Thanks Pat.
Really enjoying the Star Trek series Warren. Something about sci-fi modeling has alway appealed to me. They have a great 70's-style space sci-fi exhibit at Miniature World in Victoria
BTW, I put a video up on my blog of a great guitarist I saw on Saturday. You might enjoy it:)
Thanks Hanny - I'll take a look.
I love the Enterprise flying by the moon on impulse power. Great model.
Dave
