ME 262 B-1A

Here are some images Revells 1/32 scale ME 262 B-1A Night Fighter. With a bit of sanding of the raised panel lines and a bit of scribing plus a bit of extra cockpit work (the cockpit is terrible) one may produce an acceptable piece.

Lysander

Here are some images of Revells 1/32 scale Westland Lysander MK III Matchbox molds. The problem with Matchbox kits is sure they had recessed panel lines but I have always found them to deep. My you back in the olden days (1960s 70s) all these molds were hand done so I suppose I shouldn't complain.

Spitfire 22

Here are some images of Revells 1/32 scale Supermarine Spitfire MK 22 former Matchbox molds. If you buy this kit you will find that a lot of parts could have been easily made into a single part which can be annoying at times. Still it's the only MK 22/24 on the market.

Corsair

Here are some images of Revells 1/32 scale Chance Vaught F4U-1D Corsair.Although the new Trumpeter Corsair has more detail then the old Revell kit I have been told that the Revell kits fuselage has a more accurate shape. This kit is like any other typical old Revell kit, Lots of unnecessary moving parts to make it annoying.

Fairey Swordfish

Here are some images of Trumpeter models 1/32 scale Fairey Swordfish MK 1. A friend of mine says that he believes the roundels on this Mark of Swordfish are supposed to a bit smaller oh well. This aircrafts markings represent that it flew from the H.M.S. Ark Royal. The only problem when constructing this model was the metal rigging (supplied with kit) but that is normal for any multi winged aircraft. All in all an excellent model.

BF 109 K

Here are some images of Revells 1/32 scale Messerschmidt BF 109 K-4. I believe this kit is the old Hasegawa kit but I wouldn't swear to it. The BF 109 K was a conglomeration of the best the G series had to offer. Anyway the exterior detail on this model is very well defined. The interior though simple and straight forward does lend itself well to added after market parts. Overall an excellent model and for 40 bucks CDN well worth it.

Wildcat.

Here are some images of Trumpeter models 1/32 scale Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat in pre war markings. This is a nicely detailed model and a fun build. Plus at around $75 bucks CDN a decent buy.

Stuka

Here are some images of Revells 1/32 scale Junkers JU 87 D Stuka. This kit is made from the Hasegawa molds and is an excellent model kit. No Complaints. It even allows for the installation of an after market engine if one desires.

R.A.F. Mustang III

Here are some images of Trumpeter Models 1/32 scale R.A.F. Mustang III. This was an excellent model to build as always is with Trumpeter. However there was a major problem with the D day landing stripe decals. On the right wing the top stripes do not line up with with the bottom stripes so as a result some cutting and painting had to be done. I left a little section of the decal unrepaired to remind me. I emailed Trumpeter about this problem but I have yet to here a reply. Whether they have fixed this problem is anyones guess. A bit disheartening considering the tidy sum these kits cost.

F6F Hellcat.

Here are some images of Trumpeter Models 1/32 scale Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat. Trumpeter Models in my opinion is the best over all kit manufacturer in the world. Although they do need some work when acquiring marking and painting information. As for this kit the only real problem I could find was the wheel rims were to wide for the tires but this was quickly fix with a sanding. The pieces went together beautifully and its accuracy was quite exceptional, the engine was incredible being itself well over 100 pieces well worth the 100 dollars CDN.
