F 22

Here are some images of Airfix's 1/48 scale Supermarine Spitfire F 22.
From The Fighter Collection "
The Mk 22 Spitfire was about as sophisticated as the post-war Spitfires were to get. It differed from the final variant, the Mk24, in only minor respects, but used the same massive Griffon engine delivering well over 2,200hp and which dictated the enlarged tail control surfaces introduced with the Mk 21, and the redesigned high loading wings which were also first seen on the 21.

I love this kit, really I have the two planes and I love it. Yes Airfix is not Tamiya, but the surfaces are amazing.

I have 2 of these kits as well. I built a 22 and a 24.

So many propellers! They really got some miles out of the Spitfire, didn't they? Wonderful aircraft, wonderful model!
