U.S.S. Explorer

Here are some images plus a composite of Lindberg's 1/200 scale U.S.S. Explorer.
Here is another kit that was originally issued in the late 1950's only then it was known as the "Multi Staged Transport Rocket".
This is another kit that was of coarse based heavily on Werner Von Braun's design to which of coarse inevitably became the Apollo Staturn 5 rocket.

I love the composite shot in particular.

What do you use for those composites? Photoshop? I also see that you sometimes brighten headlights. Same program?

Thanks William - Yes on both counts I find Photoshop to be a neat little addition once in a while.

Wow. was that the original boxing you've built? I love how they put 'by Paul Lindberg' under the name.

As a vintage sci-fi fan, I've wanted to build that for a while. I don't want to slog through e-Bay, so I may just pick up Pegaus Hobbies' Apollo 27

Thanks Aronbey - Sorry no these are reissues. The original kits are worth anywhere between $200 and $600 unbuilt, maybe even higher and if I did have the originals I would be crazy to build them. The reissues are exactly the same anyway.

I love X-1. I must have listened to these shows a million times over.
Have you ever listened to their Dimension X precursors?
