Spitfire 1A

Here are some images of Dave Porter's Tamiya 1/48 scale Supermarine Spitfire 1A and here in his own words is his description.

Here is a mark 1A Spitfire in 1/48 from Tamiya. The only modification was a resin seat. This Spit fought in the Battle of Britain with 910 squadron. The paint was a combination of Aeromaster and Tamiya.

What colors did you use for this Spitfire?

Hi Peter,

Those are Aeromaster acrylic colors. with a little white added in progressive coats for color modulation. Unfortunately they're not available anymore. Try Vallejo or try this Tamiya formula......

Dark green XF58:1 + XF62:5
Dark earth XF52:1 + XF64:1

.......Oh yeah....The bottom is Tamiya sky XF21.

How do you mix your paint? I'm quite new to mixing colors and the Tamiya kit states the color mixtures you used I believe, but I'm at a loss as to the best means for mixing them?
I appreciate your help!
