Here is an U.S. Marine M-60 with a mine plow built in 1/35 scale. The model was constructed by Regina Modeler Barry Novak. Barry created the sand with the use of high density foam. There is numerous Verlinden items added to detail the model.
The final version of the "Patton" was the M-48. But the direct lineage to the M-48 was indeed the M-60 with the 105mm main gun. Although never offically named, the M-60 is often refered to as a "Patton" tank. These tanks were effective in the Gulf. It must have been fun to ride on one.

Patton, right? Although, there wasn't a lot of compatible country for them, the Marines used them in VN. I've ridden on them a couple of times...
