A post-apocalyptic/futuristic scene.

Here are some images of Dave Porter's post apocalyptic/futuristic diorama and here in his own words is his description.

This is a post-apocalyptic/futuristic scene that I built using an amalgam of models from the Japanimation TV shows “Orguss” and “Votoms” with 25mm “Battletech” figures thrown in for good measure. The smaller robots and some soldiers are hiding in the ruins and are just about to capture the crew of the large mech. The ruins are built from electronic component packing material, parts from the spares box, and burned out electronics parts. I made this piece twenty years ago and I remember it being a lot of fun to put together.

Cool! I constructed that blue walker when I was a kid, you can fold in it leggs so it becomes a sort of driving vehicle. Back then I played a lot with it, well... and it broke pretty fast. I don't know of they are still being manufactured.

I have my electrical issues resolved, Thank You Again Warren.

Love the scene models. I got a special powdered dye to mix with paint thinner, can be adjusted for just the right shade of weather beaten wood. Sort of some of the gray shades here. I found a set of plans that belonged to my father for an old three masted war ship. As soon as I can get a good pic I'll e-mail it so you can share with the Boat People! Its pretty old I think.

Thanks Ludo. The Orguss walker hasn't been on shelves for years now but once in a while it will show up on ebay. It was originaly released by Imai and then it was sold to Revell and marketed under the "Robotech" moniker.
