Luftwaffe 46

This is Dave Porter's 1/72nd Arado Amerika Bomber by Revell Germany. It was designed to fly from southern Europe and attack the U.S. Atlantic coast. The intent was to make a return trip, but an alternative was to set up a few protectorates in South America to engage in a long term campaign. Needless to say it was a very long shot. I finished the plane with Gunze paints and I used artist oils to weather it.

The model is a beauty. The fit is extremely good and it is very detailed. The cockpit and bomb bay are complete. It has as extensive decal sheet but no Swastikas.

The jet is the FW-283 Ramjet interceptor. The kit is in1/72 scale by HUMA. It was designed to climb like hell and it had much better endurance, speed and, range than an ME-163.
