Maquis Raider Composite

Here is my composite image of Monogram's Maquis Raider from Star Trek Voyager cruising past Jupiter.
I was never really a fan of the Voyager series. With the exception for the Doctor I felt the acting from the rest of the cast was mediocre at best. Plus I found it a little too PC for my tastes but the ships were cool.

Images of the model can be seen here.

First of all I'd just like to say that I am a huge star trek fan, and the work you've done is absolutely phenomenal. I only hope that some day I can make models as well as you can. I'm considering starting a star trek fan film, but I don't want to rely on computer generated CGI for the ship exteriors. I've always felt that Star Trek lost something when they switched to CGI instead of physical models, and I've always felt that if I ever did make a fan film that I'd do my best to use models rather than computer generated meshes. your work has truly inspired me by showing how good models can look even in today's computer world. thank you for posting photos of your work.

You're most welcome Samuel. It is much appreciated.
I agree, Something died when they went to CGI.

Well, I ended up getting this model to try my hand at model building. It'll be the first model I've ever built, any advice for a newbie?

Go slow, be steady and careful and try not to get glue all over yourself ;o). But above all enjoy it!! Send me a pic when it's done.
