P40 B

Here are some images of Dave Porter's 1/48 scale Curtis P 40 B diorama and here in his own words is his description.

Here is a P-40B in AVG (American Volunteer Group) colors being prepared for combat against the Japanese. The kit is by Monogram as well as the figures. Monogram figures are great. The barrels and cartons are VLS. The ladders are scratch built. I added a few photo-etch gun sights to the P-40 because the kit versions were much too thick. I’m not sure that the spinner on this aircraft was red. It was probably green.

This kit has been around years and like the Monogram Mosquito it is one of the few kits that holds up well even to this day.
