Not Mr. Spock

Here are some images of AMT's 1/12 scale Mr. Spock. This kit is an original issue not a re release.
I don't care what anyone says this model does not look like Mr. Spock. One would think that upon the re release they would would have created a new head for it but nope.
So what does one do in a situation like this? Answer: Convert him into a Crewman. I think it makes a nice alternative to the usual Mr. Spock figures one often sees. And he's wearing red which means he'll be dead in a few seconds.
The only addition I put to this kit was I added a cover for the communicator.

It does look a bit hulky to be Spock! It's still pretty cool though.

Thanks Pat - and the face is all wrong.

Does your Expendable Redshirt seem to be missing too? When I built the reissue, I couldn't get Mr. Spock-like officer to actually aim his phaser at the snake(s). So here's the most famous science officer in Starfleet, and he can't hit an enormous three-headed snake from four feet away. That's not a good sign, and maybe another good reason he should be wearing red.

LOL! Notice how he is not even looking at them as well. A worthy recipient of the red shirt.

There is actually a really nice Capt. Spock figure from the movies......a vinyl Kit, but I forget who released it.
