Normandy

Here are some images of Dave Porter's most excellent 1/35 scale diorama Normandy and here in his own words is his description Enjoy.

Here is a diorama based on the Waffen SS defense of Normandy. The troops are hurriedly moving to a staging area in preparation to grind it out against the invasion forces. In the background is a bombed out farm house (Perhaps nailed by Typhoons?). The figures are basically box stock from Dragon. The Panther and the VW are from Italeri. The farm house, Panther ammo, boxes and some of the little details are from the spare parts box. I used a variety of acrylics, enamels, and artists oils to finish.

Typhoons? Possibly, they were used mainly for tank busting.

They narrowly missed the Panther sitting there!

Yah. Tanks and vehicle columns were their main targets but the Typhoon pilots were opportunists. They blew up ammo dumps, fuel depots, locomotives, etc.
